Barcelona Beaches
Beautiful Beaches in Barcelona!

Barcelona has 5 km of Barcelona beaches in the city center and they are surrounded by cafes, bars, restaurants and everything you would expect for a holiday in the sun.
Since the regeneration of Barcelona for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, the area underwent a massive facelift and things are still improving.
Facilities are excellent with free showers and toilets and life guards to ensure you feel safe whilst swimming.
Barceloneta beach (Platja de Barceloneta) and Platja de Sant Sebastiá are located between Port Vell and Port Olimpic and are very close to the city center.
During the hot summer months they can become very crowded.
There are many places where you can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat along the Palua de Mar and many lovely beach-side Barcelona restaurants.
Platja Nova Icària is next to the Olympic port and the others extend north and include Platja del Bogatell, Platja Mar Bella andPlatja Mar Bella Nova.
They are a little further on so can take ten to 15 minutes to reach from the metro or bus stop. The beaches are very easy to reach with
Barcelona transport and if you decide to drive, there are plenty of car parks nearby.
