Best Barcelona Beaches …
Barceloneta beach (Platja de Barceloneta) and Platja de Sant Sebastiá are located between Port Vell and Port Olimpic and are very close to the city center.
During the hot summer months they can become very crowded.
There are many places where you can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat along the Palau de Mar and many lovely beach-side Barcelona restaurants.
Platja Nova Icària is next to the Olympic port and the others extend north and include Platja del Bogatell, Platja Mar Bella and Platja Mar Bella Nova.
They are a little further on so can take ten to 15 minutes to reach from the metro or bus stop. The transport in Barcelona is very good so you will have no problems. If you decide to drive there are plenty of car parks near the beaches.
