Barcelona Architecture

Many of these buildings were designed by architects such as Antoni Gaudi, Lluís Domènech i Montaner and Josep Puig i Cadafalch who designed the Casa Ametller in Passeig de Gràcia.

There are many guided tours of Gaudi's famous buildings and the following tour is a Barcelona Photography Walking Tour to photograph the outside of two of Gaudi's masterpieces - La Pedrera (Casa Mila) and Casa Batlo.

Barcelona Museums There are over 50 Barcelona museums and many are FREE on the first Monday of the month.


Some of the most popular Barcelona museums include Museu Historia de Catalunya, Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), Tápies Foundation, Centre de Cultura Contemporánea (CCCB), the Museu Picasso and Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC).

Teatre del Liceu There are many music venues such as Palau de la Música Catalana in the old city of Barcelona, (designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner) and the Gran Teatre del Liceu opera theatre in La Rambla.


There are many other lovely theatres which include Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and Teatre Lliure.




Barcelona Art Galleries


MACBA Barcelona is famous for it's art galleries and artists such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Salvador Dali and Antoni Tapies who are integral to Barcelona culture.

Some of the most popular are the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), Tápies Foundation, Centre de Cultura Contemporánea (CCCB), the Museu Picasso and the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC) and FUNDACIÓ JOAN MIRÓ at Montjuic (Parc de Montjuïc).
